Celebrated annually on February 5th, World Nutella Day is a holiday that celebrates Nutella – a sweetened cocoa hazelnut spread that is produced by the Italian candy company Ferrero. In fact, according to various sources, it is estimated that one jar of Nutella is sold every 2.5 seconds.

The chocolate celebration was launched back in 2007 by American blogger Sara Rosso.

She thought that the spreadable treat was so mouth-watering that it deserved its own day of recognition.

The idea proved to be a resounding success with fans, and it grew to be such a global phenomenon that Sara transferred World Nutella Day to the makers Ferrero in 2015.

Our favourite way to lavish with Nutella definitely are pancakes in any likeable version , either with strawberries, bananas or nuts.
