The Knicks have decided not to hold Latvian Heritage Night at the Madison Square Garden.

New York was scheduled to have its second annual Latvian Heritage Night on February 24th. But it will no longer hold the event this year, according to a report from The Athletic.

The Knicks traded Latvian star Kristaps Porzingis to the Mavericks before the trade deadline, which opened up two max salary slots this summer. They’re expected to pursue top tier free agents once the season concludes.

The Knicks have been one of the worst teams in the NBA in 2018-19. They entered their game Wednesday against the 76ers with a 10-46 record.

On December 9 NYK hosted French Heritage Night in honor of Frank Ntilikina, and recognized Mario Hezonja during Croatian Heritage Night, on January 11.
